About Celebrant Ceremonies
Can you legally marry us?
The short answer: In England, I conduct the meaningful ceremony while you complete the legal paperwork separately with a registrar.
The longer answer: Most of my couples do a quick signing at the register office a few days before their celebration ceremony with me. It's usually about 10 minutes with two witnesses – think of it as getting the paperwork out of the way so we can focus on creating the real magic! Many couples tell me they barely remember the legal bit because our ceremony together is what feels like the "real" wedding.
In Scotland, celebrants can conduct legally binding ceremonies, and the law may change in England eventually. But for now, the current system actually gives us incredible freedom to create something uniquely yours without legal restrictions.

How far will you travel?
I'm based in Bognor Regis and regularly cover Sussex, Surrey, and Hampshire. For special venues or destination celebrations, I'm often happy to travel further – let's chat about your location and we'll work something out!
Travel costs may apply for venues beyond my usual coverage area, which we'll discuss during planning.

Booking & Planning
How far in advance should we book?
I recommend booking as early as possible, especially for popular dates and wedding season (May through September). Some couples book a year ahead, others contact me just a few months before their date.
While I always try to accommodate shorter timelines, earlier booking gives us more time to create something truly spectacular together.

Do you use a microphone?
When needed, absolutely! I want every guest to hear your beautiful ceremony. Most venues have sound systems we can use, or I can arrange portable equipment for outdoor locations.
